Called business number around 6 pm. CID says "Tax Help Center." Let call go to voice mail. Female voice immediately begins chattering about tax stuff while voice mail greeting plays. Voice mail not yet recording but caller's voice rattling on at the same time as the greeting. When voice mail does begin recording it picks up the last half of the message - standard nonsense about programs ending soon, etc. Idiots.
A robocall - gov't tax relief program. A search shows this number to be from Atlanta, Georgia. A land line using Peerless Network of Georgia LLC - GA with a spam score of 97%.
Called and left message, sounding like recording: "Hello, you may be eligible for a discount on the taxes you owe..." <click>. This number is a Peerless Network VoIP in Atlanta, GA, which 411.com says "heavy Spam activity suspected."
"TAX HELP CENTER" (yeah right) calling, then hanging up on our answering machine. These creepy calls never stop coming, block one and another gets through. It's amazing there's no official interest in preventing this form of genuine, daily harassment.
