Received a message saying that this is a voluntary call and that I have until 8pm to call back or things could turn out for the worst. I've received several calls recently from a bunch of different numbers. I just keep blocking the numbers but they keep coming up with new ones to get through. Never identify themselves from any specific company.
They left me a message saying I have till 6pm to reply for some type of settlement
" Actions in concessions, if we speak today and the hold is granted, concessions to your benefits, do include a 50% settlement. You have until 6 p.m. to reach out 404 437-7313 again 404 437 7313."
Sounds like they are trying to collect a debt and they are willing to drop it 50% of what's do. ill call them back but im not paying them [***]. Have no clue what they are talking about because I not in debt
It is incumbent upon them to prove that the debt exists and that you owe it. Not the other way around.
Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes. The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

Phone Number does not come up as being associated with any company. Likely a disguised Voip or Google Voice Number. Same message everyone else is getting. So far, seems like a scam. No information to go on.
How do they get away with this crap? They called my brother at work looking for me.. I never received a call nor any letter from direct recovery..so they can kiss it
