Asked for someone I have never heard of.Said if I was not this person to hang up. If I was her to press 1.I hung up, but wish I had pressed 1 to maybe put a stop to these calls.This call came on my land line, not my cell.
I'm getting the same messages but for my brother, saying he has until 6p tonight, and a chance at a 50% pay off, but only if he responds by 6pm? They never say who they're representing or what it's for? It's really quite annoying and I'm ready to tell them off. I'd love to be able to sue them for harassment!
They called and left message looking for Patty Hammond... same details as other reports.... automated message followed by human stating you have until 6pm...50% discount....etc...etc... They make no attempt at identifying who they are. 10 minutes later, they called my wife's phone! With a different name!
Why can't we get these scammers shut down? Robo dialing, scary messages to unsuspecting recipients, and they don't even have the correct name of the person the number belongs to! Random numbers, random names, called person panics and pays....gets ripped off....
Called, left message on my cellphone, asking for some unidentifiable name (in robo voice), and then the spiel (spoken by a man's voice). Same scam as above with the 50% off etc, but no clear identifiable information about the collection agency, and for whom they are collecting. I don't owe any money so this is clearly a scam. Anyhow, I'm on the Do Not Call spam list.
