They called my land line today with a robocall message: "If this is Brian R---- or spouse, press 1 now. If not, hang up immediately." No option to talk to them if they are calling the wrong number.
As far as I have learned, this guy never had my number though another guy these agencies call for did have my number 2 years ago. (I've had the number a year now.) If it is Transworld Systems as an earlier post claims, you can find their contact information on-line.
I can't believe that people actually give personal banking information to a person that claims to be a bill collector but doesn't answer the phone identifying the company he/she represents. Reputable collection agencies state the company name when you call in. Come on people, get your brains focused and in working order... never ever ever give bank account information to anyone over the phone that you DO NOT KNOW. What the heck are you thinking.

Received call from them 404-492-8811 at 6:54PM EST Sunday 01-16-2011. No message left. Did not answer, number has called previously.
I'd suggest just blocking the number all together if you have that feature on your cell phone plan. Att customers can enable smartlimits wireless on your account to block up to 15 numbers. Users of other cell carriers might want to look into a similar feature on their cell plans sometimes under the grouping of parental controls.
These folks just called my husband usuing my name, they keep calling him and leae no voice mail and when he finally answered and asked who they were they hung up.
Watch out people... dont be fooled just because they have your name...That means NOTHING
constant phone calls at all hours. if answered a recording starts after you speak. i just hang up. thought it was crank calls until i found this forum. i will report it. i hope someone can stop these idiots. i would like to know how they got my home unlisted landline phone number.
