I have been getting calls at all hours from a man who calls himself "Mr. Lester," from this number. He identifies himself as a representative of GMAC (General Motors?). He keeps asking for a friend who lived with me over 10 years ago. When I ask if I can relay a message, he states I cannot as "it is a legal matter." The friend for whom he is calling has been scammed repeatedly as he is a brain-injured vet. I am really upset that this person is being targetted again!
This is from Griggs and Associates - or as they call themselves, G&A Services. I have had calls from a Ms. Victoria Freeman for a month. The number that shows up on my caller ID is 713-588-2596. I have been given three different numbers to call her back - one that starts with area code 707, one with a 404 area code and one with a 678 area code. She has made threats about check fraud from a payday loan I supposed took out several years ago and when I asked her to please send me a hard copy of the alleged issue as was advised by the attorney general's office, she told me she would send it via email and when I insisted I needed a hard copy as was advised by the attorney general's office, she became very nasty and told me that check fraud was serious. She then started calling me again, only this time it was as if I had never talked to her.
a suppose person by the name of mr. price wants to settle for 250. and its not able to get thru money gram or western union. i know that this is fraud. please how do i report them. he almost caused my mom to have a heart attack. please be aware.
This is the second time this firm G&A Services attempted to contact me. They call my job stating that I have a pending lawsuit for a Pay Day loan. I would not verify my SSN or DOB to someone I don't know over the phone. I asked for the mailing address to send them a debt verification letter, they refused to give it to me.I know my rights and they are in violation of the FCRA and FCDPA. Thanks Sunfish. Now I can get an address to send them a letter to validate the debt.
I received the same messages as you guys on yesterday, but they called my Mom looking for me. They are saying that a pending lawsuit will be taking place. I don't know what they're trying to do but I'm not calling them back after I see these posts from other people.
