I'm in VA I thought it was a scam to but now I have to appear in court, I did the same thing I called the Atlanta GA police department and they confirmed it is a local law firm that handles criminal cases
I was compuletely shocked I'm trying to find an attorney to handle my case

If you should pick up, and are in a position to do so, blow a metal whistle or signal horn in their ear. It should stop them pretty quickly. Don't let them get you upset, even though that's easy for me to say....
Please...how stupid do you think we are here in the US? The Sheriff doesn't serve you in a civil suit. Maybe in India or Pakistan they do. Get a real job and stop trying to rip people off. BYW: what is the penalty for theft in your country?
