Had a door delivered from Home Depot yesterday. Call came in before 8:30 a.m. Did not answer it. A voicemail contained information about my order and when it would be delivered on a particular date. The problem is that date was yesterday. There must be some problem with this Home Depot automated system. I hope that was the first and last call.
Call 1-800-HOME-DEPOT (1-800-466-3337) and use options to get to orders placed online. Tell rep you'd like to make sure your email has not been compromised and a fraudulent order been placed under your name/number. Give the rep the number that received the call and they should be able to tell you the last order placed under your number. Receive peace of mind knowing that someone just accidentally put in wrong digits resulting in your number being called/texted by mistake. Watch your email/phone closely in this digital age.
There is something that a lot people are not getting here. Scammers use software & hardware to spoof numbers - they can make it look like the call came from any number they want. They may very well have entered a Home Depot number, but it's not Home Depot calling. (Except in those cases that it is, since it could be there real number too).
