These jerks are trying to collect a debt that is in dispute with TRANS UNION.. I actually spoke with a woman at Portfolio Recovery and told her that Trans Union is investigating and she say well just pay it now and if its in error we will refund your money.. YEAH RIGHT! SCAMMERS..
They called me at 10am on a Saturday. I called the number and an automated message said, "For English, press 1". After pressing 1, the message said I had contacted Portfolio Recovery Associates.
This third-string debt collection company has more recently called me from 954-622-9827 (see link below) but when they called from the 954 number, it showed up as PORTFOLIORECOV on the caller ID.
I stopped paying my credit card on 2002.. Now, these guys are calling me asking for money. I thought that if a debt is more than 7 years old, I don't have to pay it anymore. Any idea?
