recovery portfolio calls me 3 or more times a day...it's over a ten year old debt.....i regret that....my circumstance have changed...divorced, single, poverty level under ten grand a year to live on, no health insurance..no car, live out in the boonies and too old to get a job...this company is extremely rude...they call from florida, colorado, calif, oregon etc..they are everywhere...
how do you get a call blocker on your phone ? does the call blocker keep you from your family calling you ? these people are relentless...my number is even on the government " do not call list " and yet they get it..? it's so stressful to me....HELP !!!
These guys called me on a 8 year old debt I have never had. After a bit of research I discovered they have been fined and are under investigation for fraudulently trying to collect on bogus debts.
First this "supposed" debt has never showed up on my credit, the first call I get is 8 years after the fact and when asked to verify and prove it; still havent seen that.
At this juncture one of the law firms I work for has sent 2 letters both of which are apparently being ignored. Now they are prank calling outside of appropriate hours. Im wondering if they dont recognize I can "look" the numbers up".
