Well I got took for 300 bucks but contacted attorney generals office to file complaint didn't resize how wrong these people were but I counted 5 different things they violated on the fair debt collections act.
i got a call saying this was a "agent coles" (a woman) and the call was being recorded for court and i left a voice mail saying that if they EVER call me again, I was going to go down and shut them up for good. They asked for a Phillp Low or something like that. I gave them my number and name and if they call again, I'm going to go to the police and make a report. I can't leave state because I'm out on a $10,000 bail bond. But the number is from a Atlanta, Ga. The "agent coles" (a woman) also said she was from the fraud division. I don''t buy it.
I have been receiving calls from a company called DTA from Georgia. I have received several of these calls, saying i was being investigated for Check Fraud. When I return the call to 404-935-9487 or 404-935-9490, someone answers the phone and someone named Mrs cochran comes online to tell you you have 24 hours and contact your attorney if you do not return the call. I have called both numbers, and it is all a recorded messages. I am tired of them calling. Thank you!
OMG! If anyone doubts that DTA is a chump company and a bunch of absolute idiots, go to their website! It's a HOOT! There a soooo many spelling errors it's not even funny! Their Webmaster must be 3 years old! Here is the link:

Such a laughable excuse for a "business" these people are! I came so close to filing a complaint (there's a section for that on the site!) and using a phony name but then I remembered my IP address would be traceable (not that they have that ability I'm sure!). They actually claim to send a copy of every complaint to the BBB! HA! I do have one question. If they have an address and folks know where they are, WHY ARE THEY STILL NOT IN JAIL?
Dena, the reason they are still calling you is because you fell for their scam so they are going to try to get every last penny they can from you. Just be thankful you didn't give them your bank account number(s) because they probably would have emptied your account out. The first thing that should have tipped you off is that you CAN'T BE ARRESTED FOR AN UNPAID DEBT OF ANY KIND!!!!
Geez, I am absolutely floored that these a-holes are not in jail yet!!! WTF?!?!?!
