Just because you filed bankruptcy does not mean anything. When we filed bankruptcy we were told by our lawyer that a company can go through a different collection agency and continue trying to collect on a debt. It is just another loophole for companies to get around a bankruptcy. That is why when filing bankruptcy, you have to file every debt collection company under your bankruptcy. This is something most people don't know about when filing for bankruptcy.
Same here in Washington State....I called all 4 #'s they have called from and 2 said they were Head investigators of that dept. Thanks for the heads up everyone....some people!
These frigging losers have been sued 4 times this year! They still don't/can't get the point! WTF is wrong with them? I can tell you it's probably because even though they've been sued; there are no consequences other than losing some money to make them stop. There needs to be something put in place that puts these a-holes out of business after they are sued.
I think everyone who reads this post should call a lawyer and SUE THEIR A**ES! I just did. Someone's got to start paying attention that these jerks are still in business and shouldn't be. It's disgusting. They are trying to collect on a debt I have already paid. DUH! I really want to know where the heck they got the info from. Whoever gave/sold it to them needs to pay too!
By the way, a lot of lawyers will take these kinds of cases for no upfront fee or retainer because the "collection agency" is responsible for your attorney fees when/if you win. That's just added incentive to do it, if you ask me! You can get up to $1,000 from them and the satisfaction of never having to hear their voices again. What else could be so wonderful?
I got a computer msg on Sat saying i was under investigation for tax fraud by DTA left 2 numbers to call back within 24 hrs 404-935-9487 & 404-935-9490 The caller ID came up as 404-946-4035 I will not be returning their call If I was under investigation it would be by the IRS not the DTA. I am thinking of contacting the IRS though. If it was legit i would thinik it would be an aduit not tax fraud since we dont make much money and I would expect a certified letter not a computer ph call.
I keep receiving these calls as well. I have learned how to do my research about these kind of people. I have received numerous calls from like idk 5 different "agencies" saying that they will arrest for my unpaid cash advances. However, they would not give me any information until I kept yelling at them and cursing at them. They had me so irate and one time they even told me that they would take my kids from me because I was "doing illegal things"! I work for the state! You think I will be even TRYING TO DO ILLEGAL THINGS!? I bust out crying at work but after doing my research on these fake agents, I hired an attorney. Now all of a sudden, all there numbers are disconnected. Now I get these calls from "DTA AND ALLIED DATE CORP"...but when I do my research on them, same stuff. SCAMMERS HOW BOUT YOU GET A REAL JOB AND STOP TAKING MONEY FROM PEOPLE WHO ACTUALLY GET UP OFF THEIR BUTTS AND WORK FOR A LIVING!! IF I EVER RAN INTO YOU OR SEE YOU IN ACTUAL COURT FOR THE DAMAGES YOU HAVE CAUSED ME YOU BETTER BELIEVE YOU WILL WISH YOU WERE NEVER BORN! DON'T YOU EVER THREATEN TO TAKE AWAY MY BABIES BECAUSE YOU DONT WANT A REAL JOB!
