When you get a recorded threatening message saying you have to call by the close of business "today" and the call was made to you at 9:43 pm Eastern time, you have proof it's a scam.
I got the exact same call from Kimberly Marshall at 678-825-3749 giving me a bunch of vague threatening BS about a legal matter and if I don't call 404-895-2810 x130 by end of business today, their client will have to find other means to seek relief. No identification of the firm calling me, the complaintant or even about the legal matter. I googled both numbers and got this page. Thanks for sharing the info! This is a patently obvious scam.
I got the same call. Please whatever you do...DO NOT pay these people they are trying to scam you out of your money. You are entitled to proof of any debt you owe in writing. When I asked them to send me something in writing they stated they didn't have to do that. I stated that under The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act of 1977 that yes you do and that when you call you are also to state that you are a debt collector. They kept on trying to get me to verify me SS# with them which I did not give. Please take the time to read The Fair Debt Collections Practices Act know your rights do not let these people scam you. If by some miracle they do give you something in writing please contact the original creditor and verify with them that the debt is still owed. In some states after 4-6 years the debt is charged off and is no longer collectable.
This number left a message on my phone. Reading the other comments I can only guess that this is some payday loan for someone who had my phone number a few months back. Second time I heard from an agency like this. I deleted it and blocked the number
i am getting the same telephone calls from 404-994-2810 and they leave message stateing, the last 4 digit of my SSN# and i need to contact them immediately. Due to attempt fraud against my name/ssn. please be aware h. Very annoying message. ????
if this is a true debt collection agency they should give the proper information, they call just about every day, from different telephone numbers, sounds like the same guy but a dffferent name
