p.s. to previous message posted. They called the friends and family on 02-14-2013. They have been calling me daily for the past 8 days and as I said do not state the name of the company or their phone number.
02-17-2013 through 02-25-2013 time period I have been receiving these calls.
I got a call from them also and i'm not sure if it's fraud or not, but i have been making a few payments to them on a debit that I owe. I've stopped all future payments and told them that i've hired an attorney and they should contact them instead. They still call me every at least once a week and each they call, i tell them the same thing to contact my lawyer instead.
I am getting 3 to 4 calles a day from these people saying all different things I am tired of the calls this is a scam I have not gotten anything in the mail to prove any dept and that is the only way i will pay on anything I am tired of these calls all day long up to 10 pm in the evenings and even on Sat and sundays
i got a call from them also but they didnt leave a message got a restricted call saying that i defraud on a payday loan and that they will be attaching a case against my name and social security how i will be served paper by the broward sheriff office. and that i can be arrested. i am still waiting for the bill to verify this debt and to no avail refused to give physical address to me..
Don't even answer it, but if you do, please do not give them any information. this is a type of collection agency pretending to be on your side...to protect you from the big bad debtor.they advise you to get a prepaid visa from Walmart to make a first payment, then set up future payments on the card.
in the end they can't do anything. if you owe, you owe, and they can report it to the credit bureaus, and eventually you will have to pay it if you want it removed.
they've had to become crafty, using methods like saying you committed a crime and will report you to law enforcement, or prosecutors. don;t believe this garbage, in fact, if a collection agency tells you this you need to get as much info from them as possible and report it to your state AG asap! I mean it. this is illegal...owing a debt is NOT.
