This # has showed up several times on my home phone. We are also on the no call list as well. They called again last night but left no message and then called right back and when I answered no one answered me back. I called the number back this morning and received a message saying it was for the American Association of Troopers. I left my message loud and clear that if they called again I would report them as a scam.
This is one of several calls we receive about this time of night. Caller ID now indicates the name as "unavilable" but it had indicated PIA. I usually do not answer the call and they leve no messages.
This is NOT the only kind of call I've received. There are others from several different numbers that do having an automated system that often says "please stand by for an important call". In reality it is an answering system designed for "inverse sensitivity" by callina a person on a list and then seeing if they get a response. Then, they give you a number to return a call back. Much like a telemarkiting call.
Some collections and markiting firms will and have used this running up overhead and costs.
receiving calls from 405-231-2144 with PAI on the caller ID. My phone number and address are unlisted. No message is ever left. Calls are generally made between 19:30 and 21:00 on week nights.
