Got a call from this number, no one was there. Call the number back and got this "Thanks for calling back, if you wish to not received special rates please press"1" to be remove your number." so I did and a reply back was "Thank you" and they hung up.
Sure, I'd love to lower my interest rate. Gentleman with an Indian accent wanted my VISA credit card number. I told him I don't have a VISA. "The Capital One VISA with the $3,000 balance." I don't have a Capital One VISA at all. "Give me the first four numbers of your MasterCard." What company are you calling from? "We can lower the rate for the lifetime of your account on any card, VISA, MasterCard, any card." Why don't you give me your website or a phone number so I can research your offer? He became annoyed with me, telling me that no one can use my credit card without the 3 digit security code, which I know to be untrue, and badgered me to give him the number. Anyway, it was clear from the first 15 seconds that this is a complete scam.
This phone number came up as PROCEDURES on my Caller ID. I did NOT answer it and they did NOT leave a message. WHAT good is the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY since these calls just keep coming and coming and coming - just like the Energizer bunny??
