I just received a phone call on my cell phone from a company called "CCG Cardmember Services". Whoever is this Ralph Beachum character (if that's his real name) is a smooth talker and should have gone into politics. He was very pushy in trying to get my personal information but I refused to give him anything and told him that I preferred to receive any information in writing. After 12 minutes of this man harassing me, he finally gave up and told me that I can give him a call if I changed my mind. After stuttering, he gave me this number; (888) 674-6834 .... which does not work I even tried calling the (406) again but could not a live person on the line. I was in the mood to give him a piece of my mind and let him know that this scam ruins people credit and lives. I am considering filing a report with the FCC.
If you call back, you will get a robo message stating that if you don't want to receive anymore calls you can press 1. Assuming if I fell for this scam and honestly believed this guy, I couldn't reach him anyway.
they just called me and didn't leave a message and when I called back, I just got a recording saying "thanks for calling back, if you do not want to receive future offers or promotions.."
and then I just hung up
What great advice from all of you! They got my husband's cell. I already filed one complaint and will file the others.
Now, let me offer a suggestion that I found helpful: On your cellphones, assign a ringtone of "NONE" to this number, and record the number in your directory or contact list as "SCAM". Either you won't hear it at all, or you'll ignore it when you see the readout!
Keep them reports flying!
Your GodMommy!
