Got a call from this number about 10:00 this morning, 9-29-10. When I answered, the line remained opened. I said hello a couple of times, then hung up and Googled the number, found this great website and reported the call to the FCC with the link provided in another report on this site. I would love to try the # key thing if they call back!

I never aswer my phone unless I know who is callng. I got a call from this 406*224-9002 a few minutes ago. I knew it was a Montana number and I don't know anyone there. They hung up after listening to my answering machine, so I figured it was another scam artist. I am on the Do Not Call list as well but I still get unwanted calls. Very tired of the whole thing.
They just called me. I first spoke with "Mike" as he also said he was Visa / Mastercard. He told me I had a several cards from several companies. He said I had card # such-n-such and I actually looked. First, it was the last 4 digits, then it was the first four digits. I told him I had no cards with those #'s. He got really agitated, as I gave hime the circle talk. I asked continually for written material to be sent to me and he actually argued with me, that I didn't need the material nor did he have any. I just needed to confirm, I had these cards. I asked, what was it excately he needed to see, if I "qualiified" and he actually said he would need my cc #.
Then I asked for his supervisor, as he was getting really upset and combatitive. Depending on how, you look at it, I used to make these calls for a legitamite company, but for additional services on your CC. "Jack Corleone" got on the phone and argued with me, I needed these services and why was I arguing with him. I was calm, which just pisses them off even more... I told him, I would not give out any information over the phone, the call was ID'd as a cell phone #, there were no written materials, no request to tape record for confirmation nor quality assurance purposes, no "work ticket #", no 800 customer service # I could call back and reference my ticket and he had the poorest Italian accent for such a prestige name as "Corleone". And he still wanted to argue, I needed his services. He was going to make my "call" as refusal. I politely told him, I had to hang up.
