I just got a call from this number -- ID: Montana -- when my answering machine took it, they hung up. I do not answer the phone unless I know who is calling. My message is: "All calls are screened, we make no donations over the phone for any reason, please leave your name, number and short message" I also set my answering machine to pick up the calls after 2 rings so I catch all the computer generated calls and the phone does not continue to ring and drive me crazy. I am usually setting at my desk, working on the computer so I see and hear most calls, actually quite enjoyable watching it click off.
Funny, the greeting rarely gets beyond the 'no donations over phone for any reason' part.
They've called me 40+ times over the last month or two saying they want to lower my interest rates. I've tried asking them to remove me from the list and telling them I don't have a CC several times only to be hung up on. I've come up with a new plan that will hopefully get there attention.
1, Buy the loudest air horn I can find and keep it on desk. 2, Answer every time they call and hit 1 speak to rep. 3, Just after they start into there schpeel hold air horn to phone and blast them. Maybe after a few busted ear drums they will remove my number from there list.
