I received a call from this number offering to lower my interest rate on my credit card. I asked which credit card, they covered a wide range of banks in their response. They wanted to know the experation date of my visa stating it had the highest balance according to their records. Thankfully I knew that was incorrect and did not provide them with any information.
When I stated that they should have that information they just hung up the phone. I called my bank and they reminded me that banks do not call you and ask for any information since they already have it.
Don't take the call from this number and do not give out any information.
Part of the same widespread credit card info phishing network...they use many numbers...all spoofed I am sure.
My phone service provider limits me to 12 blocked #'s and my phone only allows 20 blocked numbers that limits me to 32 blocked #'s.
FTC and the almighty Do Not Call registry are worthless - there is NO enforcement authority in the legislation that created the DNC Registry. I have filed dozens of complaints and calls from those numbers continue. They want us to report these numbers - I want my privacy. So here's my idea... My phone service permits me to selectively auto forward 12 #'s to a single number.-- so I am forwarding these calls and eleven others to the Federal Trade Commission's DNC Complaint number. See how they like it.
Check your phone provider see if you can do the same - let the DNC enjoy the harassment we experience from these Bozo's.
The FTC complaint line is 888-382-1222
In there automatic phone tree system I pressed 2 in order to discontinue these calls. I have pressed this before on their previous calls and it obviously did nothing. Someone answered the phone when I pressed that. I told them that I was on the DNC list and that I pressed 2 to stop the calls. They immediately hung up on me. Classy.
I reported it at https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintche
