I just called them trying to sell a photocopier, not much in the way of retaliation but to me it felt great. They did not need one so I told them i would call tomorrow and see if they had changed thier mind.
I just received an email from this company "Real Estate Client Referrals" and the call back no. is listed at 406-532-3738. Since this is an unsolicited email, I decided to check out the no. and I came across this site. I knew it had to be a scam because they had me listed in the wrong city. Beware of these phishes!
I got a call from Marvin today. My first questions to him was "Are you calling from a Real Estate Brokerage?". When he said "No", I was done speaking to him about referrals. It is illegal in Canada for Sales Reps to pay for referrals. Also they do not have "clients" if they are not a Brokerage. Marvin told me that his company was the same as Homegain, a Marketing Company, and only broke agents with no money in the bank, were not interested. Funny Marvin. Only scammers get mad when you wont give them the time of day. As far as I know marketing companies sell marketing services not clients.
A company in Canada called Real Estate Referrals would be getting a call from RECO. This is an illegal business.

I HAVE FILED A COMPLAINT WITH THE FEDERAL DO NOT CALL LIST AGENCY SINCE THIS JERK IS IN VIOLATION, PERHAPS A $10,000 FINE WILL GET RID OF HIM.
