Received a call from this number stating that I had several charges against me that could result in my arrest if I didn't pay up immediately to the IRS. I then stated that the IRS never calls to demand immediate payment nor do they threaten to bring in local police or other law enforcement groups to have you arrested. I then told the foreign male with a heavy accent on what appeared to be a line with a bad connection that I was going to contact the IRS at which time I was told "not to contact any family members or friends or the IRS". I then ended the call
I received a threatening voice mail from this number. They too claimed that I had "serious allegations pressed against me and the local copes would come take me into custody". The recording was very unprofessional and had several grammatical errors. It's alarming even when you know that you haven't done anything wrong. I'm dealing with a major custody battle and was afraid that my ex was setting me up. Whoever is making these calls should be reported!
On May 16, 2017, I received the exact message on my phone. When I called to find out what Organization it was. The voice on the other end of the phone was somewhat smothered. So, I hung up.
I wasn't home when the call came in; message left was similar to the one the other posters received.
This was a robocall, recorded by someone who spoke English but used very poor grammar. There were several obviously inappropriate phrases or words used, such as
"....for working dollars and once yet expired after you will be taken under custody by the local "coats" (sic). There are serious allegations pressed (sic) under your name. "
I think "coats" might have been a mispronounciation of "copes" which in turn was a mispronounciation of "cops".
The number to call was a mixture of peculiar accent, emphasizing certain numbers in a way that no English speaking person would use.
Another scam artist. I'll be reporting not only on the DNC list but also to the IRS and Treasury Department.
I am fed up with getting these calls. They try to freak you out by saying that they are the IRS. Fortunately, I know better. I hope no one will fall for their nonsense.
