Received a call from this number stating that I had several charges against me that could result in my arrest if I didn't pay up immediately to the IRS. I then stated that the IRS never calls to demand immediate payment nor do they threaten to bring in local police or other law enforcement groups to have you arrested. I then told the foreign male with a heavy accent on what appeared to be a line with a bad connection that I was going to contact the IRS at which time I was told "not to contact any family members or friends or the IRS". I then ended the call
I just received the same call. Said I owe taxes from 2011-2016, I owe over $3k and I need to take care of it immediately or else I'll be arrested. When I told him I wasn't comfortable talking with this over the phone when I haven't received any paperwork through the mail he hung up on me.
the dumbest voicemail i've ever received. wth is the point of this.threatening voicemail that made no sense. this was soon after purchasing a domain at bluehost dot com.
Got the same call. Told him, to send the police. Told him I wasn't home though. Let me give you the address where I am. He said no worries we will just go to your house a tie your wife up so you know we are serious. I laughed.. they only thing at my house are 3 pitt bulls that would love and univited guests...
These are the IRS Fake Debt Scammers. Yes, it is a scam, you don't owe a cent and they are NOT the IRS. They do not have warrants for your arrest, they are not coming to your house. Best thing to do is to ignore an block the calls. If you talk to them, they will keep calling and start to make more personal threats. You don't need that, right?
