Received a call from this number stating that I had several charges against me that could result in my arrest if I didn't pay up immediately to the IRS. I then stated that the IRS never calls to demand immediate payment nor do they threaten to bring in local police or other law enforcement groups to have you arrested. I then told the foreign male with a heavy accent on what appeared to be a line with a bad connection that I was going to contact the IRS at which time I was told "not to contact any family members or friends or the IRS". I then ended the call
Robot voice, bad grammar, "IRS" threats, four counts against me and the cops are going to take me into custody. I almost want to call back just to chat them up, but have other things to do today...
Same here. I called back (knowing it was a scam) they said they were the IRS Investigations. They then asked for my name, and I said, "I'm still trying to figure out who I've called?" Long Pause and they hung up on me.
