I'm on the do not call list for over 31 days, never done bussiness with these fools, and have asked them several times to take me off of their calling list. Everyone please file a complaint on these fools! They need to be stopped dead!
Just got the call, normally if I don't pick up they hang up. I first said to take me off all list and then she explained that I was in good standing with the credit card companies and can lowing my interrest rate to 6.9 on all my major credit cards. She said they work with the credit companies to lower my rate (right?) and that they just need to get information on one major credit card with a 3,000 balance. (if this doesn't sound like a scam I don't know what is) I ask if there was a place I could go on line for more information about"credit card service" and are they registered with the BBB"? She said she will get the information for me and then hung up.
407-000-1515 "NAME UNAVAILABLE" called today 3/17/09 at 11:07AM. I answered. The recording said it's Cardmember Services and offered to lower the interest rate to 6%...and Press 9 to speak to a rep. I did, and said "I'd like you to remove my number." She hung up from an old-style phone that she could bang down!!! This must be a 'home industry'. My phone is digital through my cable company, and does not have call blocking capability. I've tried reporting to the FTC, but they just collect information. Maybe they act on numberous complaints from the same #.
Have you been getting those scam calls from "Heather From Card Services," offering to lower your card's interest rates? Or calls that your "car's warrant was about to expire?"
You know, all those calls from spoofed Caller ID numbers from the 506 area code? Or the new ones this morning from the "100" area code or "000"? The people using the "Do Not Call" list as a "please call me" list?
Well, I've tracked them down. Thanks to a gullible operator on the call this morning (thank you! Yes, I DO need to send you something), I have all the information you need to pursue these [***] to the ends of the earth.
