Got a call from this number. Hit 9 to get an operator for explaination about MY credit card and what credit card they were talking about and got a person, sounded like a home number and left a message to take me off any call lists and that I was reporting.
got this call which seems to be the same type as ones we have received from the 506 area code-"lowering your credit card interest rate"-this one cannot be tracked-not known or found-the 506 area code #'s come from the New Brunswick, Canada area with same type of message. We have asked them to remove our name & phone # & told them we are on the national DO NOT CALL registry but they don't care and continue to call!!!
call from 407-000-7777, I answered it, a recording stating "Rachel" from your credit card company (no name mentioned). I hung up, I am on the no call list. AFter receiving the call, I "googled" it on the internet, found many across the US had also received this type of call and had the suggestion to report it.

They ask a lot of question about your credit card debt immediately. Make up a good story that qualifies you and keeps them on the phone and sucked in. Then ask them some questions, like: what credit cards do you handle, what interest rates can you get me, etc.; then ask the who they are and where they are located. By then they should hang up. Basic strategy is: scam them back. Why? Because nothing else is going to stop them from blanket calling people even if you are on the National DO NOT CALL List. Even telling them you are on the list and that they should stop calling you or suffer the fines and negative consequences will not stop them. Collect as much information as possible. Then file a complaint with your state's attorney general office.
