This scammer called and claimed that there was a "pending civil lawsuit" against me, but they wouldn't give any details on anything related to it, other than a factitious case #. They wanted me to verify who I was, but wouldn't tell me anything about them other than their name (I'm sure also fake) and that they were from the "servicing division of CLS". I told them to go [***] a squirrel and hung up.
I received a call approximately 5 minutes ago from the above number. The member stated that it was due to trying to stop the legal filing paperwork of a suit being brought against me. The individual began to stammer when I asked what information do you need from me. Upon doing so I hung the phone up. It appears to be a mobile phone based out Orlando, FL.
A James Johnson just called from this number, left a message saying he was with the private servicing division of (he mumbled company name so I couldn't understand) saying he wanted to handle a legal matter. And to return his call or his next visit would be my employer. Called the number back, it goes to a disconnected phone.
I got a call, they left the following VoiceMail:
"My name is James Johnson with a private servicing division of CLS, I'm calling in regards to a formal complaint that requires your immediate attention. I have documents that are scheduled to be delivered to your residence, or place of employment. We'll only make 2 attempts to deliver these documents. Please have valid identification to ensure the proper delivery of the documentation. If you or your attorney have any questions regarding this matter you can contact our client directly at 855-535-6876."

My advice to anyone else who looks up this number is: relax, delete the voice-mail message, and carry on as usual.
