I get this same robo call over and over and over and over again everyday to lower my interest rate it comes from all area codes. I can't stand it. I researched the company consumer reports out of Chicago. I called the FBI. This has to stop!!!I
I put her name on the caller ID on this report so you can block it..
(407) 412-3021 Robo call recorded 13 March 2015 ("Bridget at Cardholder Services...reduce your rate...consider this your final notice..." Credit Card SCAM)
Caller ID: "Cell Phone FL"
"Bridget" calling me despite recently assuring me, "...consider this your final notice..." and even after telling me (many times) I didn't qualify for their "lower your rate" offer because I pay my credit cards off in full each month.
The recording of this "lower your rate" call is exactly the same past calls but from a new number to avoid call blocking. The recorded message is their usual patter (see below) and I love "Brigit's" accent when she says "thank you" (it comes out closer to 'think you').
Their total disregard of the Do Not Call list certainly tells us a lot about their business ethics, doesn't it?
Here is a transcript of their latest offering:
[female voice] "Hello, this is Bridget with Cardholder Services calling in reference to your current credit card account. There are no problems currently with your account, it is urgent that you contact us concerning your eligibility for lowering your interest rate to as little as 1%. Your eligibility expires shortly so please consider this your final notice. Please press the number 1 on your phone now to speak with a live operator and lower your interest rate. Or press the number 3 to discontinue further notices. Thank you. Have a great day."
Thanks to Google Voice ( www.google.com/voice ) you can hear this recording on my Spam Calls web page:
I just received a phone call from this # and it says Patricia Belcher on the caller ID. Definitely a telemarketer robo call...very annoying! They call all hours of the day and night!!!
WARNING--BEWARE!! These callers are B I G credit card criminals, known as the card service scammers! Under NO circumstances, give these lowlifes your credit card number, or you will regret it forever!
EXACTLY!!!!! New name and number to me, but SAME message. I've reported it 5 times already. When I called my phone carrier to put it on my blocked numbers list, I was told that these people use "disposable" cell phones and the scariest thing is that they can access numbers that used to be active, but are now out of service, so the calls are untraceable. These people have ZERO scruples. They are able to obtain land line phone numbers of persons who are now deceased, by posing as family or friends, then use those numbers on cell phones so that they cannot be traced. They are beyond SCUM. PLEASE everyone do NOT give any info to these buzzards. One person even went so far as to leave a message saying "If you don't return my call, you will be very, very, sorry! Good luck to you if you don't call me back." I had the police come and listen to the message. The cops called that number back and found info on the guy. They reported back 2 me a couple of days later, the cops in Florida traced his pings and they had enough evidence 2 arrest him. That person had a foreign accent. Re: the gov. "Do not call list," I was told that we now have 2 update that list every 6 months nowadays by calling the toll free US Gov #.
