When I go to clean out my caller ID of all the UNKNOWN CALLERS, TOLL FREE NUMBER, PRIVATE NUMBERPRIVATENUMBER, etc., I sometimes google the number to see what I can learn.
I learn that it was just fine that I did not waste a minute of my precious speaking to these people. I thank all of your for the information; but, why do you want to lose your peace answering numbers you do not know or have an idea who is on the other end? Don't you know, they might disappear if people became their own "do not call list" and just let the phone ring. If it is a call I misjudged and I do know them and want to talk to them, they will leave a message. In fact, some of these people leave messages anyway. I am always thankful when there is no message or one that confirms I did not want to answer it. In this day and age of nonsense, it saves a lot of time and reduces my stress levels.
When I returned the call on this number it was only static, not a ringing phone. I believe it is aligned with 855-820-5171 Scott Lowry.
I have an elderly father age 92 who answers the phone despite seeing the number come up on the TV screen. I keep telling him NOT TO ANSWER ANY CALLS, but being 92 he does not remember. He just automatically picks up the phone next to his chair and talks to whoever calls. I have forwarded the phone to an extra cel phone in an effort to curb the calls, but then a legitimate call comes in and if I'm out of the house and the caller is a relative needing to speak with Dad, then I can't call him back to tell him because the phone is already forwarded to me. These calls have got to stop. I'm 66 and can't handle the stress much more. I added the allotted 20 numbers on ATT "block numbers", but I the ability to block more than 20 numbers. And getting a temporary phone number only works for a month.
ANy other suggestions.
