I got the same call tonight. He said "We are not a scam. We are just going to show you simple things you can do yourself to save energy. We are not going to try to sell you anything." But then he says my wife and I both have to be home "for tax purposes" becuase of the federal rebates. I'm not stupid. They are going to try to sell me something and need both of us there for the contract to be binding for an in home sale of something for the house. He gave me the same website. It is for companies selling solar products. Clearly they are going to come and try to sell you solar products. Don't let them come to your house. Any business that misleads people like this to get in the door cannot be trusted.
I also have received several calls from this number. They have never left a message and I have never answered the call. I am also on the DO NOT CALL list. I have filed a complaint on their website.
I tried to call them back but there was no answer. It just rang and rang.
Recieved a call from this number, answered and no one was there. Read post on this number its a company trying to save you money on your energy bill. SCAM ! ! !
Number came up as Desai, R. Pleasant young man named Robert seemed to want to offer me something more than what my local electric company would do in an energy audit. I pointed out that I could not find Florida Energy Program on the web, so he gave me the website quickenergyquote.com which is a solar company. I verified that he was not with the State of Florida nor with any local energy company.
I pointed out that my energy company does free audits and won't try to sell me anything. I asked him how he got my number and he said it just came up in his list. I told him I'm on the Do Not Call list and that I had no relationship with his company so he should not be calling me. Told him to remove my number. He agreed and was quite nice about it, which is stunning considering how most of these calls go.
Now let's see if they try again, and if I have to block this number, too.
