I got the same call tonight. He said "We are not a scam. We are just going to show you simple things you can do yourself to save energy. We are not going to try to sell you anything." But then he says my wife and I both have to be home "for tax purposes" becuase of the federal rebates. I'm not stupid. They are going to try to sell me something and need both of us there for the contract to be binding for an in home sale of something for the house. He gave me the same website. It is for companies selling solar products. Clearly they are going to come and try to sell you solar products. Don't let them come to your house. Any business that misleads people like this to get in the door cannot be trusted.
I wrote earlier about receiving these calls. I've blocked the number so it doesn't ring through but I see them on my caller ID almost everyday. I did some searching and found a few interesting articles on this energy survey fraud. Here are the links.
It appears that this is a telemarketing company attempting to circumvent the telemarketing laws by calling themselves an "energy survey company." They then attempt to sell you some sort of energy saving device with the promise of rebates. It appears to be little more than a scam. Read the above warnings before giving these people any information.
Very, very tired of these calls coming all hours of day and night! Have never answered and of course no message is ever left. We are on DO NOT CALL LIST also.
I keep receiving this calls: Desai R. 407 574 3571 Can somebody do something about it. An investigation will be appropriate somebody is going to get hurt money wise with this scam and probably some old person or somebody who do not understand Inglish very well. A very annoying SOB don't stop talking and you can't even understand what she is saying I am in the do not call list. When you try to call back it says the phone line you are calling is unavailable.

We have received several calls from these people, telling them to take you off their call list does not work. Just received a call and attempted to get their attention but the lady talked nonstop so I hung up.
