Hi, There appears nothing has been posted since April 2011, I live on the Gold Coast in Australia.
I went onto the web into a site, that I play games on, and had a message in my inbox, and flashed up I had won $3,000 with Perfferred Guest Resort, towards accommodation for a trip to Florida,
I rang the Sydney phone number and was directed to Orlando Florida, I then spoke to a lovely man called Eddie, As I had problem with the 18mth time limit, he put me through to another lovely man called Ross.
At the end of the conversation I had 3 years to use the accommodation etc....7 day car rental, 2 passes to one of the theme parks, a dinner at sunset, a lunch and a breakfast for 2, a cruise to the Bahamas, all for $3,898, - $3,000 I won, so $898 for this great 15 nights help with cheapest travel, so sounded really good, I spoke to my partner and he looked up this site, as I had Ross holding on the phone, he mentioned it was a Time share, and also not the best service with cockroaches, etc... so we did not go ahead with the deal.
Who has been over there in the last year and got a deal like this ? Feedback would be great is this really a Scam ? Had I not rung my partner I probably would have done the deal !!!!
Also received a call from # 407-670-0542 twice. Both from RCI. First time I told the guy I was busy and didn't have time. He finally hung up. Today, I received a call from another guy .Told him I was sick and was not interested. He said to me " What's your excuse next time. Your making dinner or on the way out" and hung up on me. These guys are total "[***]".
I have been getting a call from this number for a few weeks now and finally answered the phone today..it was some speel about RCI and a free Disney holiday...when I told the guy we just came back from Disney (true) he got really mad and started telling me the hotel they were offering was gold star blah blah blah...I was at work so I told him I really couldn't do this right now and in any event I would have to speak to my husband..he then went "so which one is it? are you at work or do you want to speak to your husband?" like both can't be the reason?!
He then proceeded to tell me he wouldnt take too much of my time if i just agreed to the deal and started to explain the benefits...I cut him off mid sentence to which his response was "ur being rude" so I then kept doing it until he just put the phone down!!!!
This is a telemarketing call. I answered the phone in the middle my studies only to be disturbed by a pre-recoreded voice saying goodbye after I said hello. This is annoying. But i will not take this call in the future is what i know for sure because I just added this number to a contact named "TELEMARKETING CALL" in my phone list.
Person called representing RCI and Wyndom resorts. I hung uyp the phone. "Gentleman" called me back 2 times then saying he was from the local Pizza Hut and told me to "stop playing games on his phone" and I was "getting the pizza!
Hi just go off the phone with the same people, Preferred Guest Services promoting RCI. So I let him talk about deal after deal, always getting better and better, more hotels, more bonus, cheaper and cheaper, got him down to $199.
I am home sick with a cold so decided to go with this, and see where it went. The first guy Ethan Condry, who called passed me off to the "Closer" Kendal Manier, who I spent almost a half hour on the phone, sending me to websites, etc. He was good and had an answer for everything including payment over the phone being safe - thats when it was really obvious that it was a scam to get credit card info.
One fake website is www.pgrfl.com then even www.bestvacationsever.com which has a legit number.
To make a long story short, I said let me check it out and call you back. But he wouldn't give me his number, although I had it on caller id. So I said sorry, i can't do it, no time to travel.
