I just got one of these calls today. Same story about a free nights stay at a Hilton in Manhattan or Orlando. I WORK for Hilton but have no idea what this call is about. Dont trust it. I am reporting it to Hilton today.
I was dialed by this number, picked up, no one there. The caller ID identified it as "Hilton". I called back, it was Hilton Promotions. They were promoting vacations.
They offered to place my number on their "do not call" list. I gave them my number so will find out . . .
Received a call several days ago on my cell phone from this number. They asked for an incorrect first name (could have been an initial) but correct last name. Told them no one here by that name, and they said it must be the wrong number and hung up. BTW, I did stay at a Hilton last year.
first the lady called me by my husbands name! Second couldn't even say my last name right! So i let her read her little card and when she asked me where i wanted to visit either Orlando or Las Vegas i said neither and asked he not to call again. THEN she had the BALLS to ask if they were bothering me??? I told her to quit calling and hung up
I'm joining the "club" of folks receiving a call from these "people" on my home (landline) phone. Received a call from this number, and like some, no message. The caller ID showed it as a "wireless caller." I almost picked up but didn't recognize the number, no one in my caller circle lives in area code 407, and it wasn't in my phone's memory as someone I know. The "wireless caller" ID almost made me think it was some legitimate person calling from a cell. Must be some new trick by these sleezeballs...
