Call came in at 1:15PM CDT showing "Lower Interest Rates" in the Caller ID window. Nothing like giving away the game right from the start! The number is now safely in the Blocked Caller list. The Do Not Call list does nothing to stop these scammers.
Tonight, 09/09/2013, I received a phone call from 408-418-5644 talking about my IRS liability. It coincided with my recent negotiations with IRS to postpone my tax due, and I was expecting to really receive a phone call from an IRS representative.
The person asked me (on a recorded messages) to leave my name and tax liability in order to work on my case.
I left my name and amount due and then went on Internet and found alot of messages about this phone number.
I am so worried what these people are going to do with my information.
Is there any legal way to stop solicitors and scammers bother people?

Caller: They were talking about some representative to call me about my IRS liability.

Called at 11:17 pm on 9/9/13. Caller ID showed phone number as 408-418-5644. When a call comes in this late at night you immediately think something has happend to a loved one especially with parents in their 90's. Recorded message saying they can help with my tax debt, which I don't have, and Obama'a tax breaks.
