Same number called at 822pm 4/16/12. I answered and it was an automated voice saying "technical difficulties" and "unable to connect". Got curious and googled it. Is it the FBI? CIA? or the garbage collector?
I'm pretty sure this is a Magic Jack number. I have one and the caller id it sends is SNJS West. My area code is 408, so I'm just putting 2 & 2 together.
didn't answer but the number showed up on the caller ID. After reading about this scam, I think it's time to turn it over to the State A.G. office to investigate.
Got calls from this number almost daily week before last (week before away on vacation) and now both Mon, Tues this week. Phone shows a total of 8 missed calls from this number (always calls same basic time, 8:50pm). So somehow they knew not to call the week I was away from the house?
Up until now I assumed this was my daughter's old high school doing their annual fundraiser. This is the first night where a partial message was left (the "...sincere apology. Goodbye" garble) which caused me to look up the number and find all the comments on this and other sites. I agree this should be investigated.
