I too get calls from different numbers but they sound the same. We need the F.B.I. to take care of them. I'm tired of their daily calls! I'm so gonna go Texas on them!!!!
This guy with a heavy accent calls my work repeatedly daily threatening that I will be arrested for not paying up on a loan. Can't call the number back because it just rings and rings. Should I report this to the police?
This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

This guy called me on my cell phone and scared the S%#T out of me! I never been in trouble with the law so was trying to figure out did I do something when I was younger. The guy said his name was Officer Brown from the United States Law Investigation Department. He had a heavy Indian Accent. They would not give me a social security number and tried to get me to pay $500 over the phone or they would issue a warrant. They claim I took out a cash advance and never paid it back.
