I got the same call this morning from PBIS 408-496-1515. I looked it up and it stands for the National Technical Assistance Center on
Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS). I called the number back it was a recorded message of someone from the US, saying that they represented a nonprofit client with a sales offer for a fundraiser or something. I didn't listen to the whole thing. Not sure if it was legit, but I would't buy anything from a phone solicitor anyway.
Got a call from this number. Didn't answer it. Caller ID said it was PBIS. Wondering if it's related to another number, the 408-496-2676. Cases seem to be very similar.

Caller said he was raising funds for the California Fire fighters. Sounded like a soundtrack of a callcenter in the background. Told him the homeowners were not home, said they'd call back.
Replying to myself, called operator and asked if I could verify caller. Operator said nearly none of the calling solicitors are valid, but to attempt to validate, I should ask for organization affiliation and organization ID number. Of course anyone could get someone else's organization name and ID off the web...
