I have received these calls for about 3 days now and at first they told me that I had a payday loan with someone and that I was being sued for non payment . I told them I hadn't ever had any payday loan and they told me that if I didn't pay 1500.00 then I would be arrested within 4 hours , I told them I couldn't afford that and never had a loan again so they transferred me to a person named federal agent brown and he proceeded to threaten me with being arrested and charged with fraud and theft . He then told me my bank account number , routing number , my Ssn and my employer , and my children's names and wife's name and told me that I was lying and trying to steal the money . I told him I would call him back after I talked to my bank and my lawyer , when I contacted my bank I found out that they had taken over 700.00 out of my accounted and that caused all my bills to be returned and cost me almost 1500.00 to straighten out all the overdraft and returned check fees . They called me back and I posed as a police officer and told them that they were the ones committing the crime and stealing and that they were trying to scam me agent brown then started laughing and hung up the phone . I then called them back numerous times and harrassed them the way that they had done me for the past few days . I don't know what to do now to straighten this whole mess they've caused me and how to get the money back that that costed me for having to pay all the fees at the bank . Does anyone kno who I could contact or what I can do to fix this and get them in trouble ?
I received a voice mail on my phone from a Micheal Davis 408-520-2558. It states that there is any investigation on me and that if I don't return the call he wishes me "good luck". This seems like a scam to me. He had a thick Indian accent.
I JUST RECIEVED THE SAME MESSAGE BUT HE SAID HIS NAME WAS A KEVIN SOMETHING SOUND LIKE HE WAS AND INDIAN TALKING MAN HE SAID IF I DID NOT RETURN HIS CALL , HE WISHED ME GOOD LUCK. ALSO.
A couple just came into my Police Station to report receiving calls to their cell phones and work phones from 408-520-2558. I heard the voice mail left by the subject who threatened the Sheriff would be coming to their jobs if they did not respond to his call. We don't have Sheriffs in this area! The party had a thick accent. I googled the number and found this page. I believe it to be someone looking to con people out of money. Also the couple reported that their bank account was compromised several months ago.
Man called and stated he was with an attorney's office and that legal action was going to be taken against me. Informed him I have the right to any information and that he stated that he not authorized to give me any info in regards to this case. I told him I wanted something sent to me in the mail and that I was not discussing it over the phone until I discussed with my attorny. I then hung up and he proceded to call back 3 times. Each time I told him the same thing and he was getting very angry.
