I have received these calls for about 3 days now and at first they told me that I had a payday loan with someone and that I was being sued for non payment . I told them I hadn't ever had any payday loan and they told me that if I didn't pay 1500.00 then I would be arrested within 4 hours , I told them I couldn't afford that and never had a loan again so they transferred me to a person named federal agent brown and he proceeded to threaten me with being arrested and charged with fraud and theft . He then told me my bank account number , routing number , my Ssn and my employer , and my children's names and wife's name and told me that I was lying and trying to steal the money . I told him I would call him back after I talked to my bank and my lawyer , when I contacted my bank I found out that they had taken over 700.00 out of my accounted and that caused all my bills to be returned and cost me almost 1500.00 to straighten out all the overdraft and returned check fees . They called me back and I posed as a police officer and told them that they were the ones committing the crime and stealing and that they were trying to scam me agent brown then started laughing and hung up the phone . I then called them back numerous times and harrassed them the way that they had done me for the past few days . I don't know what to do now to straighten this whole mess they've caused me and how to get the money back that that costed me for having to pay all the fees at the bank . Does anyone kno who I could contact or what I can do to fix this and get them in trouble ?
this is nothing but an intimidation scam DO NOT believe what these people say because this is pure crap! this is the second time ive had this happen and the first time is was scarred to death but its all a scam from india! now i call them 3 to 4 times a day and harrass them!
Kevin you are absolutely right its all one Big Scam from probably India but I do the same thing back to them call them to harass them everyday like they do to us. Payback is a [***]. Screw these [***]. U could say your name is John Smith and they will look up your name and tell u that u owe them money. Criminal charges will be bought against u from India LOL....BUNCH of scumbags. CAN'T BELIEVE SOME PEOPLE ARE SO GULLIBLE. Don't fall victim to this scam.
I'm glad I googled this number: 408-520-2558. It's been calling and asking for my wife and saying theirs a lawsuit against her. Today, a guy with an Indian accent just called and say that next week Monday, 02.06.12, police will arrest her at her work. They've been also harrassing my wife's name at her work by calling her work. I know that this definitely a scam given everyone's response. What can we do to stop this person from calling? How can we report it? Can we report it to the FBI? or local police? Would appreciate any advise and comments.
It's a Big Scam. Report it to FTC and your three credit reporting agencies. FBI will not do anything unless its a threaten terrorists attack. It's sucks I'm in the same situation as they somehow compromised my personal info. Monitor your credit reports too. Try to tell as many people as possible so that they won't get scammed. u could also report to your local pd so they could put it in the newspaper. I call this number everyday just to screw with them back. It's feels great to harrass them back. Try it just press *67 to block your number and let the games begin.
