Same thing here....got 2 calls on Christmas day! We answered with "Merry Christmas, Buddy the elf speaking....what's your favourite colour"....they hung up :)
Just received a call from Jonathan from this number. Claimed he was calling from ADT in Toronto. He told me my name, address and telephone number and said I was eleigible for free service. I told him I already had a security system in place, he then asked me if it was monitored...fishing for information perhaps... As if I am going to tell anyone my security information! I quickly said no thank you and hung up. I called ADT and was advised that ADT does cold call people, but the company does have outside agents who may do so. The agent told me that the outside agents/companies will never identify themselves as ADT, but they will disclose that they are calling from an outside company calling on behalf of ADT offering various promotions.
I've had this call twice, once with the number as here, once with an extra"0", which made it look like an out-of-North America call. No answer either time.
