Today I received a call from 408-663-9181, a company called U.S. Investigations Department. He had a very thick foreign accent (Bangladesh maybe) and left a message saying I had a case against me. This CLEARLY is fraud. If there was a real case, i would've gotten some paperwork, not a call from some person i can barely understand. Other websites say this company will say u have a case using the last 4 of your SSN, then try to EXTORT MONEY from you!

I got 3 calls, 1st from a "loan officer," 2nd from a "lawyer," and 3rd from one "Officer Black," all the same voice, saying I took out a loan by fund transfer to a bank account I didn't even have yet at the time claimed. They had its router, my account number, SSN, date of birth, and name--all info that was on my fully updated Windows home computer. That's all for online banking; I will have to get a new account.

I've gotten a few calls from this number (408)663-9181 from an "Officer Black" and also from (315)755-5281 from a "Joe Smith" a supposed lawyer. It all started when I looked into getting a payday loan. I never got the loan because I decided that the fees involved weren't worth it but since then I have had to close my old bank account because $1700 was taken out without my authorization. Now I have these two numbers calling me almost every day. I'm about to change my phone number so I don't have to deal with it anymore. Do not fall for this scam people, they are losers trying to make money off of you. You don't owe them anything!!! I told him to take his tiny c*ck and stick it into the nearest electrical outlet... you might not be fed up enough to be as crude as me, but whatever you do, DON'T GIVE THEM ANY MONEY OR ANY MORE OF YOUR INFORMATION!!!!!!!
I received a message from 408-663-9181 yesterday. Someone named "Officer Black" left a similar message. His accent was so thick I had to listen to the message several times to make out what he was saying. He said the call related to my sister and that she listed my name and number as a reference. Since I was a "reference" I was also involved in the case. I asked my sister about this today. She's been receiving calls at home and her job for awhile about owing for a payday loan each time a different person. She said they don't call as much as they used to, but they still call. Her last call was last week. They claim she received money from a payday loan, she owes them and will be sued. Knowing she didn't receive any payday loan, she asked them to send her the paperwork. The people keep telling her she's going to be sued, or arrested for theft. Needless to say no paperwork was ever sent. Reading the other posts confirmed that I suspected this is a scam.
I got this phone call today saying I had an arrest warrant issued for me because of family members who put my name on an account. The family members said they had been getting called for awhile from this person and when asked what it was about the caller told them if they paid $100 it would go away. When asked for proof of who he was he just threatened them and asked if they wanted the Police to show up at their door.
