Called my cell phone -- caller ID said "South San Francisco Bay Area". When I asked who was calling, she said "Nancy." I said where are you calling from, and she said "my name is Nancy Hudson." It took several more questions before she said she was calling from a prolife committee (she still did not identify the company). I told her I'm on the Do Not Call list, she's calling a cell phone number, and I don't want any more calls her. She kept talking over me, so I have no idea if she actually heard this, or if this was another of those computerized callers made to sound like a human.
Answered call and heard clicks, then heavy breathing, another click and more heavy breathing. Enough already, this has to be stopped before someone gets hurt running to answer these menacing calls. Opting out doesn't work, blocking number doesn't work. Now what to do, recording call and they hang up. Friday evening we got 4 of these and when asked them to read "do not call policy" they get their stupid on and say they don't have them. Then ask to talk to Supervisor and Super gets his stupid on and says they don't have them. All call centers have "do not call policies", I know. When it says incoming call we answer because we have family that has this and when it is a call center my skin boils. Now maybe we all can come up with our own policy.
I have received several calls from 408-686-1830 but they leave no message. Each time I call back to talk with someone, I reach a recording thanking me for "calling back" and asking me to press "1" if I no longer wish to receive any communication about their services. I have no idea what their "services" are but the calls do stop for a little while and start all over again until I call back and press "1" to stop the calls again [for a little while]. Very frustrating with a DNC list out there.
