It definitely is a fraud but super weird because they are paying water bills in the US Aurora CO. They did get the water bill paid but the Netflix wouldn't go through
I received a charge on March 30, 2018 from NETFLIX.COM 408-724-9160 for a value of 15.65 in my VISA credit card.
On April 5, 2018, I received a refund of 14.64 to my VISA letter of credit (I lost money in exchange USD-CAD currency)
On April 10, 2018 another charge worth 15.41
I have never had a netflix account. I do not have a netflix account.
How is it possible that they can charge my credit card without my data being delivered?
Was charged the same as everyone below. Just notified my bank. I do not have a Netflix account and no idea how someone got this number since I never use this CC.
Just realized after looking at my credit card statements that I have had 2 charges each month. One is legit for my netflix account and is recurring monthly for $10.99 the other one is from the 408-724-9160 and is totally not legit. Amount varies but is always in the $15 range.
Jan and Feb 2019: 2 payments of $11.99 showed up on my credit card bill from Netflix w/ this 408 number on same line. I called 408 number and inquired about the charges. I was told they were fraudulent, that I needed to change my method of payment to netflix so the perpetrator couldn't renew w/ netflix after the fraudulent charges were removed and the fraudulent account was closed. I was skeptical that I was talking to netflix. They asked for 8 digits of my credit card. I didn't give them as I wasn't comfortable. Instead I went online to my netflix account and changed payment method. Then I called the help number given on the netflix web page and got to the same person I'd spoken to calling the 408 number. I felt much more comfortable that the 408 number was legit.
