I just received the same call and refused to give my address, but they did have an old address of mine, which is concerning. When I mentioned I was just at the IRS office a few weeks ago and I am positive there is no legal action against me, they hung up.
just received a call from this 408 number. when i get calls from unfamiliar no., i usually say i am not available and will ask the person to call back later. since the guy on the phone sounded so serious, saying that he was from dept of legal affair, i wanted to confirm more about his identity. i asked if he's calling from a government agency, and he said he's from the dept of treasury. when i asked him more about what he was calling for, he said i owed taxes with the IRS and therefore a warrant has heen issued for arrest if i dont call back. i then told him he was talking to the person he was calling for, but he didnt believe me. he said i just told him i was not who i am, and i should ask the person to call him at the no. from the caller id, and i should stop playing game with him. it sounds very scary. once i hung up the phone, thanks to google and i find this page. man, these ppl are bad to call themselves as federal agents. i wonder what is the punishment for falsely identify as a fed. agent.
o, i should report this to the dept of treasury.
Hey, me, too, from June "I can't speak English" Taylor.
After some searching, I found out that you can file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission as a violation of the Do Not Call law, sort of a backdoor way to nab these fraudsters.
Here's the link to the FTC and their complaint process.
I just got another call from another Indian cockroach trying to get me to make a payment to avoid serious legal action. He identified himself as Michael Clark. I asked him if he' d like to suck my d*** and if he has a daughter that I can f*** in the a**. He paused and then hung up. If a woman calls me, I'll start talking about lesbian sex. Have fun with them anything goes!
