This started coming on a text message after I moved my number to a new phone .when I called a voice said ,do you have this kind of enabled texting device (sms I think )? press 1 yes 2 no .I put y and it said my messages would continue to be sent to my # . I probably sent all my messages to some creep.
This is a service through Sprint... It's called VoiceSMS and completely legit... It's a little funny how people freak out over something like this. It's someone you know, they do not have to show up as you have in your phonebook. They enter a random name <<<---
This is a SPRINT SMS ... someone just sent you a pic mail or a voice mail from their phone ... I sent my husband a message from my sprint phone using my sms (that I recored in my own voice)and a text message with it and he had to call this number to hear what I said... SO, if you get a message telling you to call 408-970-0000. It is someone sending you or YOUR HUSBAND (TO THE OTHER GIRLS ON HERE) a message that THEY recored for them and them only... JUST LIKE A TEXT... ITS JUST IN THEIR OWN VOICES(ie their own voice)!
Received a text message on 02/12/2010 where the "From" read as my friend's name. The body of the text message said, "Fart Sniffer has sent you a Sprint SMS Voice Message. Call 408-970-0000 to listen." My friend has no idea of where this text message came from and how it was sent to me!
I then called the number and picked up the message and it was a message I left for him on his regular mobile voice mail weeks ago (not SMS Voice Messaging) but the date was today! Sprint has screwed up the SMS Voice Messaging database with the normal mobile voice messaging.
