I got one of those this morning from the same number and it was a perfectly normal message from sprint. I think from reading the posts and answering mine I found out that if your phone is off or some other wierd circumstance sprint records the message and sends you this dumb number to answer it. My message was my online class instructor saying to call her back. Somehow I didn't get the message through my normal voicemail and it came to me this way.
Like the others above, this was a Sprint "Text to landline" message . . . I did not return the call. I am considering sending a text back with my cell saying simply "delete" . . . I wonder if that will do any good?
It happened to my friend when I replied to her voicemail with another voicemail (HTC EVO) provides such funcionality. As soon as I sent her the reply voicemail, she got a text from my number saying that I sent her a voicemail and she needs to call that number to listen to the message. It is a Sprint service, so nothing to worry about.
"Frank has sent you a Sprint SMS Voice Message. Call 408-970-0000 to listen." I've recieved three texts within 10 min. apart with the same message. 310-256-9895 shows up as caller ID. Called that 310 number and went straight to voice mail. Never met anyone named frank that would have my number.
I received a txt from my daughters father for to call this number and listen to a vm. The message was MY voice,telling him I had a great time w/him the day he picks my daughter up AND my daughters name. I never the message. I had no idea what he was talking about. He said the messages were being left on his girls phone from me. This is some straight hacker [***] and Sprint needs to get to the bottom of the situation. I am PISSED!!!!
