Got a call from this number with a message saying that my Microsoft license will expire soon and to call back. When I called back the person on the other end of the line was Indian and wanted me to take actions on my computer that I did not feel comfortable doing.
Said "to inform you that Your Microsoft Windows license key has BEEN expired all the services of your computer are terminated. To renew your license call back on our toll free number 41049 71219. Thank you." Guess these guys did NOT pay attention in elementary school to their grammar lessons, "has been expired". The pause in the prefix of the phone number was also sloppy work for a billion dollar company besides the fact that NONE of my Microsoft products have expiration dates. I really hate it when these people do NOT even take the time to perfect their bogus message. Quite insulting to say the least!
You have it wrong. They deliberately make mistakes so that more intelligent people will catch them and not call back and troll, waste their time. It is a filter to catch the undereducated who are more gullible. Like a certain politician.
