They don't leave a message at all. I have had a difficult time with staying caught up in bills the last few years, so it probably is something that has gone to collections, but I have no mail or message from them. The only reason I know they have tried calling is because I looked it up reverse phone directory online and came to this site. I just think they will never receive whatever money they want because I have nothing that states what money I owe!!!!
These bozo's called and asked for my son, who was at work at the time they called.... Then wanted me to give them a phone number where he could be reached and wanted to know who I am.... Yeah, right!! Who the heck are they kidding??? They call at least 1-2 times a day. When I do answer and it's them I just hang up now. Stupid idiots wouldn't tell me what it was about, so do they really think I'm giving them any info?? They can kiss my butt!! Unfortunately, I don't have caller ID on my landline, so I have to rely on *69 to find out what number called. And, since I don't have caller ID, I have to sometimes answer my land line.... UGH!
if you can don,t answer their call. if you happen to answer and they ask you your name lie! tell them anything but don"t tell them your real name verify the phone # by calling *69 and record the time of the call, and the phone #. report the information to the FCC on the internet or by phone. register your phone # with the FCC do not call list. don"t be bullied!! never give them a dime, or the debt will be renewed from that date!!! and the process will start all over, and you will be responsible for the entire debt. remember they cannot legally collect any money from you, they can only harass you. if you let this bother you they are winning. so smile and don"t ever give in, or let them bother you ...... peace
The best way to stop them if the debt is not yours, or past statue of limitations is sue the under the FEDERAL FAIR DEBT COLLECTIONS PRATICES ACT and your state act if they have one most states do. $1000.00 + attorney fees and costs for each federal suit. If you don't want to do it on your own have a lawyer do it for. This will put them out of business quick. There is a law firm in Chicago that does this for you very resonable fees first $400.00 plus a percentage out of what they get for you.
They are called LEGALHELPERS find them online. I have used them worked great out of $3800.00+ I got over $2400.00 for a few minutes work. Just keep good records and a transcript of everything or a recording of the calls if it is legal in your state. Most sates are 1 party rule so you don't have to tell them you are recording them. If they leave message on answering machine or voicemail that is legal everywhere to use keep a copy.
