Received a text message from this number. I don't have any children about to graduate from high school. Message starts out "Hi, Tyler, this is Emily, with Pittsburgh Technical College. Congrats on becoming a senior!". It continues, finally providing a phone number (412-809-5100) to contact for more information.
Called me because imngoingto be a senior in high school and told me they can help with college and jobs and all that other stuff. But I'm not even sure if I should even believe it? Please help me with this
I'm going to be a senior this year as well and I live in Wheeling and I always get to see them at my school during the year. Their a legit school and a good one at that. It's a 2 year technical school so if you wanna learn more about them you can go on their website. I didn't know who they were until I looked it up. I forgot that I summit my phone number and info to them.
They called me too and for a while i believed it, but i started thinking it was some jerk just doing a prank call so i was kind of rude and took the call as a joke and they hung up, but now i realize i think its real, oops.
PTI is actually a good school, may be on the expensive side but you end up paying the same for the 2 year programs at PTI as you would for a 4 year college degree. The nice thing about PTI for students who don't want the traditional 4 year degree schooling, you are able to focus in on a particular degree. They have some good programs & very good teachers. Their job placement program after you complete your 2 years is extremely helpful. Too many college kids with a 4 year degree are unable to get a job but coming out of PTI you will be placed in the work force with their help. Worth looking into if you are a senior & undecided as to what you would like to do with your next couple of years, that degree you can get there can make a lot of difference!!! Also, they have a deal with some of PA colleges where you can go on to finish at those colleges & get your 4 year degree with the 2 years at PTI counting at 2 of the college years!!! Good luck to you seniors questioning your future - not an easy decision so look at all the options you have.
