They called and said their name was "Melissa" and they wanted to speak to "xxxxxx". I asked "where are you calling from" she said "it is regarding a local community issue", and I said again "where are you calling from", and she had the same response. I flipped her into VM, and she didn't leave a message. How do they expect to get anywhere with this attitude of tricking people onto the phone for money donations??
DO NOT GIVE MONEY TO THESE PEOPLE! This is one of those organizations that solicit money and gives perhaps 10% to the people you THINK you are helping! If your fire company is a goverment sponsored entity, then YOUR TAXES are paying them. If your fire company is volunteer, then DONATE TO THEM DIRECTLY, NOT through one of these "associations!"
i didnt answer either it said local call that is not true its a 412 i'm a 814 it left a message as it said nothing but blah blah a guy said hello after my voice mail was over then hanged up
Received a call from this number. I screen calls. Left no message, so I assume the above comments are correct...telemarketers. I guess everybody needs to earn a living, but these folks are a pain and they know it!
