What a shame to have to spend even more money on a gadget, to block what the do-not-call registries were supposed to do, but don't.
If anyone intruded into my home through a door or window trying to bother me or extract information or money or property from me, the police could be called to haul them away, even though the laws for that are very weak.
But doing the very same thing via the telephone is apparently not only acceptable, but encouraged, by whatever powers have the authority to stop it but do NOTHING. Could it be that they somehow benefit from whatever these annoying callers are able to obtain from calls, such as selling our valid phone numbers and any other info, for a profit? Otherwise, the calls would stop on their own; no profit, no sense in continuing an activity.
I bought one of these after reading posts about it on this website. It has been FANTASTIC and worth every penny. I giggle every time I scroll through to see who got hung up on. They don't give up, though...most of the blocked numbers keep calling every day.
One thing to note...you must put the call blocker on the main phone line instead of an extension in your home if you don't want to hear the first ring. Otherwise, your phone will ring once until the call blocker picks up the caller ID.
Phone screen displayed PITTSBURGH PA and this number. I let it go to answer, but no message was left. Number now blocked through my carrier and the *60 process.
